A long time favourite for myself and my guests is the Rosebank Sunday Market – its a true expression of South Africa\u2019s vibrancy and dynamism. The market offers something for everyone with a large selection of craft stalls, live music, kids entertainment and gourmet food traders, including an array of tasty delights, interesting bric-a-brac, unusual antiques, original clothing and an eclectic assortment of hand made and creative art and craft market stalls. Amanzi is offering a pair of these brightly coloured slippers to any long stay guests.<\/p>\n

Bryanston Organic and Natural Market celebrates its 40th year of being open – its Joburg’s original outdoor market – if you’re into organic and natural foods and crafts, this is the place to go on a S\u00e1turday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Take the whole family, enjoy some leisurely shopping or go for a delicious breakfast or lunch. Lots of fun activities for kiddies and interesting demos.<\/p>\n

Another firm favourite of mine is the Farmer’s Market in Fourways, Joburg’s most family and pet friendly market. Kiddies playground activities and entertainment. Live local music, traditional South African delicacies, craft beer and cocktails, demonstrations, a host of interesting things to buy..Open every Sunday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Neighbour Goods Market, open every Saturday 9 – 3 p.m. rain or shine, housed in a modernist building that has a spectacular 15-story wall mural by the famed artist Eduardo Villa, the market is as much a source for farm fresh foods and specialty goods as it is a meeting point to enjoy community, swop ideas and stories, and be inspired by the energy that makes Joburg.<\/p>\n
