\nDay visit only. Excellent, prompt telephone & gate answering as experienced: Pam, thank you for promptly arranged visit on short notice. Effective, professional-style systems in place: Nightsbridge on-line bookings; I was warmly welcomed on arrival in a professional manner: highly positive first impressions, guests put at ease in informal atmosphere.
\nGeneral Efficiency<\/strong>
\nImpressive: an industry benchmark of excellence in the AAQA category \u2013 of the highest order. Absolutely nothing is lacking in either the unit appointments or the service levels. High attention to guest needs \u2013 additional items provided to meet individual needs. Signature cyclamen throughout.
\nCleanliness<\/strong>
\nExcellent levels maintained: no concerns found, neat & tidy; excel levels of hygiene, no overlooked areas. Despite a number of medium- and long-term guests in residence during the visit, the units\/apartments are meticulously and timeously serviced, with note taken of guest preferences w.r.t room make-up. Gleaming bathrooms, fresh grouting.
\nMaintenance<\/strong>
\nRooms, areas as seen in sound order. Ongoing: schedule of ongoing, methodical maintenance evident. New concrete staircase, veranda & balustrading noted. Rejuvenated cupboards\/BIC\u2019s shelving, bathr doors upgrade noted. Beautiful conservatory-style extension to the living area of Belhambra cottage; lower walling with the signature stone-cladding element; Venetians installed; 2nd bedroom bay window completed contributing to lovely natural light.
\nFriendliness<\/strong>
\nDay visit only, cannot fully comment. Pam friendly, welcoming, puts guests at ease. Courteous, well presented management, with positive attitude staff as encountered greeted me with smiles. All requests, queries dealt with very pleasantly. Extraordinary ambiance at Amanzi \u2013 memorable lovely warm atmosphere: guests are evidently so happily \u2018at home\u2019 yet professionally cared for.
\nLocal Knowledge<\/strong>
\nExcellent. Pam\u2019s knowledge of the unusual, quality experiences offered in Johannesburg is shared with guests in such a professional manner; she stimulates interest and excitement in worthwhile experiences. Generous info material in room folders; map of area\/JHB, take away menus, list of eateries etc thoughtfully provided.
\nService Efficiency<\/strong>
\nNot an overnight stay; unable to comment. Appears of the highest calibre: glowing guests\u2019 testimonials (see Tripadvisor alone). Greening, enviro-friendly proactive effort noted. Generous list of provided extra services.
\nBedrooms (Type 1)<\/strong>
\nExcellent. The same as before: spacious 3 cottages and 4 open plan apartments designed by Pam, sensibly appointed to guests needs, furnished with modern originality and maintained to the highest standards of comfort, simply-with-nothing-lacking! Very comfortable, up to date, upmarket bedding; neat make-up.
\nBathrooms (Type 1)<\/strong>
\nElegant domestic. Recently rejuvenated, up to date \u2013 attractive, well designed: modern glass fronted showers in all. No major changes to previous details. Excellent condition as per units seen. Quality towel sets, eco-friendly toiletries, dispensers.
\nPublic Areas<\/strong>
\nThe intimate spacious breakfast room flows through to the patio or to the open-plan kitchen & lounge \u2013 all of which are inviting and appointed with quality furniture and fittings. Gorgeous vibe, sunny.
\nBuilding Exterior<\/strong>
\nCared for look. The architectural and garden design have created lovely spaces of both privacy and openness, extra detailing: quite unexpected originality of a suburban property.
\n<\/strong>Parking
\nExcellent \u2013 details as before, offering both covered and open parking on quality paving: extra visitors parking space available.
\nGrounds & Gardens<\/strong>
\nNoticeable Community Garden on the pavement: guerilla gardening at its best and also as a landmark. Charming suburban garden, offering intrigue, privacy, sense of awesome tranquility. Mature trees, trimmed bushes, lovely flowers display; generous garden ornamentation; water features, secluded pool area \u2013 overall highly memorable: obviously pride and joy of the owners to the delight of discerning visitors.
\nSecurity<\/strong>
\nAs per previous report, comprehensive measures in place: access-controlled gates, CCTV, electric fencing, Digi safes, two battery back-up emergency lights in units, excellent levels of appropriate exterior lighting, emergency numbers & liability notices in units displayed etc. Intercom phones in units. Fire extinguishers, holding area designated & with signage. Ont on site 24 hrs staff in residence. Security gate on Belhambra entrance door. Check caging\/locking of gas bottles.
\nFood Quality<\/strong>
\nAll units are appropriately appointed for short or mostly longer \u2018home from home\u2019 type stay: with either full kitchen or extensive convenience SC equipment; appliances, crockery, glassware, cookware & cutlery in excellent condition. Breakfast lounge details as before \u2013 excellent condition, super ambiance. New oblong breakfast plate on chopping board, elegant table setting, hi-design cafetere noted. I love the chalkboard menu!
\nOverall<\/strong>
\nIt is no surprise that Pam\u2019s exceptional dedication to her business is rewarded with consistent high occupancies, featuring a high percentage of international guests. She does our industry and our country proud: excellent occupancies levels. The proposed renewal endorsement of Superior is subject to the approval of the committee.
