I thought I would share my decorating knowledge and call this Tuesday Decor Tips – Before creating Amanzi Guest House I had a large Decor shop in Hyde Park and after this I taught decorating at Lifestyle Garden Centre.
\nThere are so many inexpensive ideas that can make your decor “pop” – e.g. five (only word to describe them) “gungey”<\/em> chairs found on Gumtree, advertised as lounge chairs – they looked terrible! With tatty cushions and were a dirty wooden colour.
\nPAINTING TIPS FOR OLD CHAIRS: <\/strong> Painting furniture is fun and inexpensive.
\nHow about these two chairs now painted red….?? carry the colour through<\/strong> beyond the painted items – I used red geraniums, red impatiens and red pointsettia. The cushion on the other chair also has some red in it. What this does is carry the eye further. Its more pleasing, dont you think?<\/p>\n

Or what about lime green? I love lime green in a garden<\/strong>, as it “pops”against the darker green leaves…<\/p>\n

In a shady corner, white always shows up well<\/strong>…
\nSame chairs, or rather, the last two of the 5, painted white, sitting in a cozy corner. Cool to sit outside on even at midday, and in the shade they always reflect so well.<\/p>\n

Add white flowers or some white bits and pieces to carry the colour and make the scene more interesting…<\/p>\n
