1. Service excellence:<\/strong> Pam, Rob, Thabang, Deli and Lena work as a team<\/strong> and together we strive to give our guests service excellence<\/strong>. Nothing is too much trouble for us – whether its using our jump leads to start your battery, finding a fridge to store flowers overnight for a wedding, or refilling your gas heater at 10 o’clock at night.<\/p>\n

2. Breakfast is made to order:<\/strong> Choose from home made muesli, fresh seasonal fruit and juice, or your choice of cooked eggs (free range of course), delicious mushrooms, sizzling bacon, fried tomato and rosti. All organic where possible. Robs speciality is home made bread and strong coffee to start the day!

3. Amanzi<\/a> has great outdoor areas where you can relax and unwind:<\/strong>. Amanzi is set in a lush garden and means water in Zulu. I grew up on the South coast of Natal and miss the sea – so I created soothing water features. Take your laptop up onto our deck during the day, or have a glass of wine in the evening and watch the sun set. Guests will often have a “braai” and use our barbecue facilites next to the pool over the weekend. Our large pool is salt water – so much nicer on the skin than a chlorine pool.

4. Choice of accommodation options:<\/strong>
\nOur cottages are especially suitable for families or couples relocating, or needing alternative accommodation for a month or three. The cottages have full kitchens and bathrooms each with a private garden area. Two of the cottages are pet friendly as the garden area is fully enclosed. Choose to self-cater or breakfast in our conservatory breakfast area and meet other guests from all over the world.

\nOur spacious apartments have a comfortable seating\/living space, with kitchenettes where you can prepare your own meal, or heat up a home-made meal bought at our local Deli in Craighall Park

5. Privacy<\/strong>: If its privacy you want, each apartment or cottage has its own entrance. Each garden is private. And Apartments 1,2, and 3 have balconies overlooking the garden. No need to socialise if you don’t want to.<\/p>\n

6. Amanzi is situated in centrally located Craighall Park:<\/strong> Walk to Hyde Park<\/a>, catch an Uber<\/a> for some serious shopping at Melrose Arch<\/a>, or Rosebank, or easily access the motorways. As for neighbourhood restaurants…. too many to name – walk to Corner Cafe<\/a> or Dolci<\/a>, get a delicious thin crusted pizza from Caselottis<\/a> next door to Dolci, or head for Parkhurst<\/a> filled with pavement restaurants.

7. Craighall Park retains a surprising neighbourhood village-like charm:<\/strong> – Delta Park<\/a> is a kilometre from Amanzi Guest House. Rob and I walk our dogs there, people run, cycle, take their children to the jungle gym area. On Saturday mornings, there is a 5 km run with hundreds of people jogging together. The horses stabled at the park are a surprise – a young child can be led around the park for about R20 and there are opportunities for more adventurous riders too.

8. Excellent wifi:<\/strong> Unlimited high speed fibre optic 50 Mbps speed. Stay connected at all times, even during power outs – we have an Uninterrupted power supply in each room to keep the internet and one lamp going.
\nAnd in your room you have many added extras: complementary tea, ground coffee, milk, biscuits, filtered water, the convenience of your own hair dryer, iron and board, international plugs, umbrellas and…<\/p>\n

\nBetter than home away from home. My children & I spent over 5 months at Amanzi Guest Lodge in Craighall Park. We loved every minute, from the exceptional accommodation, incredibly delicious home cooked breakfasts, gorgeous environment, wonderful library, to the wonderful hospitality & overwhelming assistance from the team. No request of ours was too much trouble. The staff were extremely accommodating at all times & bent over backwards to ensure our stay was more than pleasant.
