I spent the first week of November 2016 at Amanzi Guest House. The house is situated in an oasis of a garden in a good neighbourhood of Johannesburg. Apartment 4 was modern, spacious and clean.
You can enjoy your breakfast outdoors while listening to the birds, read a book, or take advantage of the 50/50 mbit wifi.
There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, so you will not have to travel far to get a good meal. In addition Delta Park is very close by and excellent for running, cycling, or just walking. If you talk to Pam, you can borrow bicycles for taking a nice ride.
The hospitality shown by Pam, Rob, and their team was extraordinary. They let me join them for dinner at a local restaurant the first night, and even drove me to pick up food when a food delivery service failed me.
Every morning the staff greeted me with a smile. I handed in my shirts for ironing when I checked in, and I got the first back within minutes, allowing me to travel to work with a newly ironed shirt.
Pam were also very helpful advicing me on where I could find some good souvenirs to bring home.
I had a great stay, and will wholeheartedly recommend it to all travelers, as I already have to my colleagues. I will return to Amanzi Guest House the next time I travel to Johannesburg.
